My name is Judi Engle. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
My family, Engle, is from Oden, Michigan,near Petoskey. My ancestors are traced to Elkhart, Indiana, and before this to Darke County OHio.
The last link we have is a Henry Engle born in 1798, darke county Ohio.
we see him on a census in 1850.
have not yet found this birth record. this info was found on Henry Jr.'s marriage license in Indiana---his father henry was born in 1798 darke county oh.
i cannot find info that early in dark county and what i do find does not have an Engle listed.
