BRENDA

I recently switched from PC to Mac. But I wanted to keep my genealogy data in FTM (PC only), so I bought Virtual PC for Win98, a software package, and installed it on my Mac. Then I installed FTM into Virtual PC and I am up and running.

My Mac is a twin 1 Ghz machine with 512 Mb of memory. Consequently, FTM runs very well.

I look at the cost of Virtual PC as overhead I must pay to have the best of both worlds.

The developer of Virtual PC is Connectix ... I think their URL is just www.connectix.com

Now if you want to worry about something; Microsoft just bought Virtual PC from Connectix. Heavens knows what this means.
