Dr. J.C. Ludwig

My gg-grandfather, Dr. John C. Ludwig, was a physician within the German community and had an office in Greenville, Darke County, OH in the late 1880's and early 1900's (definately in 1905). This information was from the Physician Look-Up Service, but nothing else was given. How would I get more info about this? Do city directories list businesses? Where else could I look? He was not a member of the AMA or the State Medical Society. Thanks.
