In Response To: Brumbaugh Family (Wally Garchow)

I, too, am directly descended from Johann Jacob Brumbaugh who came over on the Ship Nancy.
Whereas your ancestors come down through Jacob's son, Daniel, Jacob also had a son David (born 1776 and died 1842; a War of 1812 veteran and farmer in Washington Co., MD) and I am descended from Jacob through David.
David had a son Simon K. Brumbaugh (farmer in Roaring Spring, PA 1806-1892) and Simon had a son also Simon Smucker Brumbaugh, M.D. (doctor in Bucks Co, PA and Phila. 1852-1935). The doctor's eldest son was my maternal grandfather, Rev. Roy T. Brumbaugh, D.D. who lived 1890-1957 and was a noted Presbyterian minister. His wife Margaret Valentine Brumbaugh lived to be 101 (1892-1993). My mother Elizabeth Brumbaugh was his and her eldest child and she lived 1912-1992 in Chester County, PA.

So, we're distant cousins. I have been researching my genealogy for about 30 years off and on. Now I enter my data on Reunion 8 software. It is fabulous.
