Her parents were Henry Brumbaugh and Elizabeth Folk
Henry’s parents were Jacob “Jockel” Brumbaugh and Mary Elizabeth Angle
Elizabeth’s father was Daniel Folk - mother unknown at this time

All the ..1 information came from the 1850 Census of Darke County, Ohio. Page 478.

All the ......3 information came from the 1870 Darke County, Ohio Census for Richland Township and was confirmed by the 1880 Miami County, Indiana Census by the information that Charles Oswalt was living with the family along with the same names for some of the children and agreeing birth years of the children between the two Census.I knew from my parents that we were related to the Oswalts. Charles Oswalt was the father of Elizabeth Beam (her married name).

I have some but very little doubts about the ..1 information and thus some of the ....2 information (reason for Aaron or Andrew Beam) because the age on the microfilm (difficult to read) appeared to show a discrepancy of 2 years on Aaron Beam’s age from that of the 1870 and 1880 Census taken later. The 1850 Census showed Aaron to be 9 (if I read it correctly)
whereas the 1870 Census showed Andrew (apparently the same person as Aaron although I am not certain) to be 27 and the 1880 Census showed Aaron (again called Aaron)to be 38. It is easy to be off one year depending on which month during the year the Census is taken. Unless Andrew died and Aaron took over the head of the same household then Aaron and Andrew are the one and same person. But possibly they are not, and if not,then the validity of the ..1 and ....2 are in doubt. I am wondering if maybe the name is Aaron Andrew Beam or Andrew Aaron Beam? I hope to one day find the tomb stone to confirm our ..1 and ....2 data. Aaron Beam was born in Ohio. Both of his parents were born in Penn. Both of Charles Oswalt’s parents were born in Penn. Since I wrote the above sentences I found a file on the internet that leads me to believe that my conclusions were correct and that we do have an accurate family tree.

All the Census (at least federal) earlier than 1850 contain only the name of the headof the household along with a tabulation of the number of people in the household younger than 5, between 5 and 10 etc. Even the wife’s name is not given.

My next priority is to improve this family tree with the complete given names of all those listed along with the complete birth dates, state of birth such as Indiana and the date of death for the deceased. I need some of you family members to read this and supply as much information as possible. If I missed anyone I want that information also. And I will strive to again confirm all the ..1 and ....2 information. This is the best I can do at this time.
