Belford Wilt Rites Are Set
Funeral services for Belford M. (Peck) Wilt, 71, of 403 Fair street, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Miller funeral home with the Rev. Earl Lantz officiating.
Mr. Wilt, a native of West Manchester and a resident of Greenville for more than 50 years, was a retired contractor and carpenter. He died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon from a heart attack at his home after being in failing health for two years. A veteran of World War I, he at one time served as the chauffeur for General Douglas MacArthur.
Surviving is his wife, Florence Vanscoy Wilt.
Burial will be in Greenville cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
