YORK FUNERAL RITES SUNDAY AFTERNOON
William York, 89, died at 7 o'clock yesterday [December 13, 1940] morning at his home, 2208 East Sixteenth street, after a week's illness. He came to Muncie from Darke County, O., in 1891, and was a member of the Christian Church at Yorkshire, O.
Surviving are two sons, Perry and Harrison York, both of Muncie; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Wright, of this city; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the family home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Dewey Hole, pastor of the Yorktown Christian Church, in charge. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The body has been removed from the Parson mortuary to the residence.
