Davidson, Susannah (Pittsenbarger)

Susannah Pittsenbarger was born June 14, 1829 and died Aug 31, 1893, aged 64 years 2 months and 17 days. She was married to Allen Davidson, March 11, 1852, with whom she lived in happy wedlock until Feb. 8, 1890, when he was called upon to flee from this to a life beyond. The deceased lady in early life united with the U. B. church and lived a faithful member until some two years ago when she joined the M. E. church at Kokomo, Ind. She was a sufferer for many years but never a murmur escaped her lips, only saying that she was tired of life and expressed a willing desire to be at rest with Jesus [NOTE: deleted, long section of religious comfort to her children.]

There remains to mourn her departure, four daughters and two sons. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Sept. 2, conducted by Rev. John Omerod. Interment in the Davidson cemetery [now called Yoder Cemetery], three miles north of Versailles.
