LIVESTOCK DEALER DIES THURSDAY
Harlan Pittsenbarger, 58, Died on Thursday At Wayne Hospital
Funeral Services And Burial Held Saturday Afternoon.Harlan Pittsenbarger, 58-year-old Versailles livestock dealer, died Thursday [January 3, 1952] at Wayne Hospital after a lingering illness. He had been a hospital patient for two weeks.
A veteran of World War I, the deceased had spent the major part of his life in Versailles where he was a member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are the wife, Lea; one son, Lowell, of Muncie, Indiana; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Parsons, of Versailles; five grandchildren; two brothers, Harry and W. C. Pittsenbarger, both of Versailles, and five sisters, Mrs. Lulu Jones and Mrs. Della Barnes, both of Muncie, Indiana; Mrs. Ella Marshall, of Perrysburg, O., and Mrs. Robert Peace and Mrs. Earl England, of Detroit, Michigan.
Funeral services were held at the Versailles Congregational church at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Reuben A. Stauss officiating. Military services and burial were held in Greenlawn Cemetery.

OBITUARY
Richard Harlan Pittsenbarger was born July 24, 1893 in Versailles, Ohio, and attended the Versailles public schools.
Attaining maturity, he was united in marriage with Miss Leora Emmons in September, 1921.
This union was blessed in the birth of a son, Lowell, and a daughter, Wanda.
Mr. Pittsenbarger engaged in various vocations, including stock buying. He had been an invalid near a year, requiring hospitalization at different times. His final illness took place a few weeks ago, and while receiving treatment in the Wayne Hospital, Greenville, he answered the Great Call.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Mrs. Leora Pittsenbarger, his son, Lowell, his daughter, Mrs. Wanda Parson, five grandchildren.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served his country 2 years in World War I.
