INSURANCE AGENT AT VERSAILLES IS DEAD

VERSAILLES -- J. A. (Jake) Pitsenbarger, 81, an insurance agent here for the last 31 years, died Thursday [December 29, 1955] at his residence at 520 North Center street after a long illness.

Mr. Pitsenbarger had spent his entire life here and prior to opening an insurance agency was active as a carpenter for several years.

He was a member of the Versailles Congregational Christian church, Masonic lodge and Eastern Star chapter.

Services will be held 2 p.m. tomorrow in the church, with Rev. Reuben Stauss officiating. Burial in Greenlawn cemetery. Friends may call at the Miller funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today and at the church after 1 p.m. tomorrow. Masonic services will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 p.m. today.

Surviving are a son, Clarence of Versailles; a sister, Mrs. Ida Greer of Blackwell, Okla.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
