VONDA M. RICE, 78, died in St. John Center at 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 1990. She was born November 4, 1911, in Greenville, Ohio., the daughter of Orlando and Iona (Coble) Biddel (surname misspelled). Mrs. Rice was retired from Crowell-Collier Company and she was a member of the First United Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge Star of the East, number 339 IOOF. She is survived by one son, Leland D. Rice of Cadiz, Spain; two grandchildren and one great-grandaughter. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Keith T. Rice on July 23, 1989; and her sister, Onda Nyman Flatter. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home. Rebekah Lodge will hold services at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Memorial Home, with Rev. Dean Elam officiating. Burial in Palestine Cemetary. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ or to the Paramedic Fund.
