She was loved by her many descendants among whom are 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and many other relatives, and she will be missed by a host of friends, and this is a time of sadness for all of them.
"Yes this is a time of sadness. An occasion that touches our hearts with almost an uncontrollable grief. And in the presence of the sad spectacle, we can but bow in meek submission to the Eternal order of things. In her passing, Neighbors an friends alike are left in sadness. Her work is done and we must say our last Good-bye."
She has lived an exemplary Christian life for many years, a life to be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. She was an active member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church here and was a faithful member of the True Blue Class. Many, many times she has left the services of worship with a peaceful smile as she shook hands with her pastor, giving him the assurance that she had enjoyed communion with God in worship.
"Hers was a helping hand,
And it seemed of little availing,
But its clasp was warm,
And it saved many another from harm
Its touch was tender as an angel's wing
But it rolled the stone from the hidden springs,
And pointed the way to higher things."Card of Thanks: The family expresses thanks and appreciation to all those who so wonderfully assisted in showing sympathy during the sickness and death of their precious loved one.
NOTE: This is my paternal Grandfather's mother, Ida May Gilbert.
