The death of this loving wife and mother brings great grief to her husband, her six children and many other relatives and friends. She was a loving and beloved wife and mother and her death is heart-breaking for those in the home, that will now have but the tender memories of her love and care.

She was married to Mr. Jefferies (sic) on December 20, 1900, and to their happy union were born six children. These, with the husband and her father and stepmother are among the relatives that morn her passing.
The children are Leah J., Milton, Marguerite, Edward, Jr., and Geraldine and Jocelyn, twins. A brother, George M. Harris, also survives, with eight nieces and nephews.

Harris passed away at her late home in Greenville, Ohio, January 5th, 1926, was born June 22nd, 1877, in Benton County, Indiana, aged 48 years, 6 months and 13 days. Early in life she united with the Methodist church at Kentland, Indiana, which faith she kept through all the following years. In 1894 she with her parents moved to Lonoke, Arkansas, where she graduated in 1896 from Lonoke College. The same year the family returned to their old home near Kentland, indiana, where she taught school. In the spring of 1899, the family moved to Darke County, Ohio, on a farm near Palestine. On December 20, 1900, she was united in marriage to Edward F. Jefferis of Palestine, Ohio; to this union six children were born, Leah, Milton, Marguerite, Edward Jr., Jocelyn and Geraldine, all of whom are at home. These children with the husband, father, step-mother and one brother George M. Harris are left to mourn her departure, her mother, Hattie W. and one brother W. Sherman preceding her in death several years.
Mrs. Jefferis was a devoted wife and mother, no task that would lend to the happiness, comfort and welfare of her loved ones, was too hard for her to undertake. She was beloved by her friends and neighbors for her cheering smile and kindly greetings and will be sadly missed by all in her community.
