Posted By: Jo Kester
Date: 19 January 2003
Obituary: 6 Nov 1889 Winchester, Randolph Co., IN newspaper
Mr. Daniel Kester died on last Sabbath, about 3 p. m., after a sickness of near five weeks. The disease that finally took him off was typhoid fever. He was sixty-seven-years of age. During his manhood days he enjoyed almost unremitted health, so that it seemed that when disease did come he was an easy mark--he was easily struck down. Since his residence in this place, on
account of a retiring disposition he was not generally known, but when known was esteemed for his virtues. He died in the hope of the gospel. On Monday afternoon, brief services were held at his residence on north Union street, conducted by Revs. Spellman, Lewellen and Fowler, and on Tuesday his remains were taken to Palestine, Ohio, his former home, to be interred. The
sympathy of his friends are extended to to his bereaved widow.
