WITTERS, Philip

Philip WITTERS was born in Montgomery county, Ohio, September 10, 1833, and died at his late home three miles west of Greenville, Ohio, at twenty minutes past six o'clock, April 29, 1910, aged 76 years, 7 months and nineteen days.

He was married to Elizabeth EISENHOUR, October 10, 1857. This relationship was continued for 52 years, 8 months and 18 days. To this union were born eight children, seven boys and one girl. Of these children seven survive him one boy having died.

He leaves a widow, seven children, sixteen grand-children and one great-grand-child, besides other relatives and friends to mourn his departure.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church at Coletown, Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large sympathetic audience. Sermon on the occasion by Rev. H. L. Lott. Interment in the Manual cemetery.
