Cary F. Shepherd 81, of 1007 N. Adams, died at 1:05 a.m. this morning at his home after an extended illness. Born 22 August, 1893 in Darke County, Ohio, he was the son of Nathaniel and Vinnie Colson Shepherd. He married Nora Chambers 17 April, 1913 and she survives. Also surviving are a son Floyd H. Shepherd of Route 7, two daughters Mrs. Leroy Gesler of 3888 Sated Rd, and Mrs Betty Farler of 2145 old N. Dixie Hwy. 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was a retired contractor and a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Gilbert Harris officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
