Jacob Pitsenbarger was born in Greene Co., Tenn., on January 16, 1814, and died January 22, 1894, at age 80 years, 6 days. He emigrated with his parents to this county in 1828. He married Mary Ellen Davidson on August 8, 1840. To them were born five children, four of whom, with their mother, preceded their father to a better land in 1854. He was again united in marriage to Sarah Metzgar, and unto them were born 4 sons and 1 daughter, 2 sons and a daughter having passed before. The deceased leaves to mourn his departure a loving companion, 3 sons, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
