Dessa HILL MOON, 90, of 6546 Cahuenga Terrace, Los Angeles, (formerly of Versailles, OH), died on Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996, in Hollywood, California.

Mrs. MOON was born on July 16, 1906, in Yorkshire, Ohio, daughter of Adam and Mary Catherine STAUDT HILL (both deceased.) Also deceased are her two sisters, Ethel HILL BALLING and Eva HILL MUNN. Surviving her in death are her husband, Walter R. MOON, and her two daughters, Rosemary SHORT DUNNE (Amherst, Virginia) and Kathleen MOON PLAUZOLES (Canoga Park, California.)

Mrs. MOON is a graduate of Versailles High School and of Defiance College. In early years, she taught school in the North Star and Houston school systems and is still remembered by students she taught.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 31, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles. Ted Shafer, pastor of Versailles Methodist Church, will be officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 P.M. at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. A memorial service will be held in California later in September.
