Joan L. Lawson, 69, 212 Elm St., St. Henry, died at 7:14 a.m. March 5, 2003, at Bon Securs Hospital in Venice, Florida. She was born February 19, 1934, in Rossburg. Preceding her in death were her father, James Shook, and a sister-in-law, Kay Shook.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Her survivors are her husband, Paul E. Lawson, whom she married Oct. 18, 1952, in North Star; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Phil and Carol of Beavercreek, Mike of Arcanum, Jeff and Carolyn of Arcanum and Tom of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tom Coughlin of London, Ohio; her mother, Mary (Frantz) Shook of Beavercreek; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Max and Jo Anne Shook of Kettering and Dick Shook of Vandalia; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Henry Church, with the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, Ohio.
