Virgie M. Rhoades

Miss Virgie M. Rhoades, 78, Route 5, Greenville-Beamsville; died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday in Wayne Hospital following a short illness. She had been hospitalized for three days.

Miss Rhoades was a native and lifelong resident of Darke County, the daughter of the late Curtis and Catherine (Mong) Rhoades.

She was a charter and 52-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Greenville and a member of the Ansonia Chapter O.E.S., before coming to Greenville.

Survivors include two nephews, William D. Rhoades, Route 3, Greenville, and Ned R. Rhoades, Route 5, Greenview; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lelia Rhoades, Greenville, and 10 great-nephews and nieces.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Miller Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Ted H. Landis, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The Order of Eastern Star will have a memorial service in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
