Deloras Helen, daughter of Earl and Cora England, died at their home in Versailles, Monday night, Oct. 19 [1914], after a very brief illness at the age of 3 years, 11 months and 5 days. She has gone to dwell with the Angels in the Land Beyond, and leaves father, mother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, uncles, aunts, and other relatives.
Owing to the cause of death which was of a contagious nature it was deemed best not to have a public funeral, but Rev. Sando of the Christian church conducted an appropriate service at the grave in Green Lawn cemetery, where interment was held Oct. 20, at 2:30, in the presence of sympathizing friends. The floral tributes were contributed from the following friends; the employees of the Masner Tobacco House, the Primary Dept. of the Christian Sunday School, of which the little one was a member, the Model Sunday School class of which the mother is a member, Carey and Harry Pittsenbarger, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Copeland of Sidney, Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall of Union City, Mrs. Elizabeth Pittsenbarger, Grace and Maud Marker, Madge and Virginia Falknor.
Mr. and Mrs. England [take] this means of thanking their friends for the beautiful flowers received and also for the many sympathetic letters of condolence and other kindnesses shown them by their neighbors and friends in their trying ordeal and late bereavement.
Family.
[NOTE: little Deloras died of diptheria. Her mother was the daughter of William Henry & Rachel (York) Pittsenabrger. Her father was the son of George & Lulu (Deardoff) England.]
