MRS. WM. HARRIS OF KNOXVILLE [TN] DIED THIS MORNING
Mrs. William Harris of Knoxville died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Watkins, 499 Yates street. The cause of her death was cancer of the liver.
Ella Pitsenbarger was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Pitsenbarger and was born September 28, 1850, near Versailles, Ohio, and departed October 9, 1922, at the age of 72 years and 11 days. She received her education in Ohio and on June 14, 1875, she married William Harris at Sullivan, Ind., after which they moved to Galesburg, Ill. She has lived in Galesburg since, until last spring they moved to Knoxville.
Mrs. Harris became seriously ill about August 1st, and went to the sanitarium at Savannah, Mo., for treatment. She was brought back some time ago and died at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the Woman's Relief corps and of the Mystic Workers. She also faithfully attended the U. B. church. While a member of these organizations she gained many friends.
Mrs. Harris leaves to mourn her death, her husband, one daughter, Mrs. David Watkins; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a brother M. M. Pitsenbarger of Champaign; one sister, Mrs. M. M. Brown of Portland, Ind. A son, John C. Harris, preceded her in death twenty-five years ago.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the United Brethren church with Rev. Shuey in charge. Burial will be made in the Knoxville cemetery.
