Mary Alice Glunt Dies At Hospital Wednesday Noon

Mrs. Mary Alice Glunt, 85, of Union City, route 3[2?] died at the Memorial hospital Wednesday noon from the effects of a heart attack suffered five weeks ago.

The lifelong resident of this area had been in ill health for the past six months.

She was born in Washington township, Darke county, July 9, 1865, the daughter of Martin M. And Elizabeth (Parent) Barr. She attended the Washington township school.

She was married 68 years ago to Ben F. Glunt, who passed away in 1945.

The deceased was a member of the Union City Christian church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. R. S. Turner, of Union City; Union [sic] two sons, Omer M. Glunt, of Morristown, New Jersey, and Benjamin F. Glunt, of Erlanger, Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs. Mat Glunt, and Mrs. E. J. Dettman, both of Union City; four grand-children and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Glunt will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Brooks and Sons funeral home with the Rev. C. G. McCallister officiating. Burial will be in the Union City cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p. m. Saturday.
