Adam Wolfal, 78, long time resident of this community died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Nosset, 1/4 mile south of Whitewater, Ind., at 12:05 Friday morning. He was stricken with a paralytic stroke on Sunday at his late home east of Hollansburg, and was moved to his daughter's home on Tuesday where everything was done to help him in his hours of sickness.
Mr. Wolfal would have been 79 years old on Sunday, the day of his burial. He was a member of the M. E. Church of Hollansburg, a well respected citizen, and a good neighbor.Those surviving him are: Elmer Wolfal, of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Nossett, of Whitewater; and Mrs. Mary Gordon, south of Hollansburg; four brothers, Henry and George of Hollansburg; Reece of Richmond; and John of ElDorado, O.; one sister, Mrs Sade White, of Hollansburg; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Hollansburg Christian Church, Sunday afternoon with Rev. C. A. Duncan officiating and burial was given in the cemetery near the church.
Paulbearers consisted of his neighbors; Joseph Marshall, Virgil Martin, Emory Martin, Joseph Grebl, Ernest Downing, and Bland Downing.
Those who attended the funeral from a distance were: John Wolfal and wife of ElDorado, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Whitacre and Mrs. Jennie Lamb of Dayton, Mrs, Ella Lamb and daughters fo Bellefontaine, Reece Wolfal and wife, Elmer Wolfal and wife, Earl Wolfal and family, Earl Borton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Borton, all of Richmond, Roy Pitman and family of Kesler Ohio, and Mrs. Eli Shaner and daughter Iva of West Milton.
