VERSAILLES WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN HOME
Heart Attack Claims Life Of Ellen PittsenbargerMrs. Ellen Pittsenbarger, 73, was found dead at eight a.m. Sunday [November 9, 1946] in her home on West Wood street, Versailles, by a granddaughter. Medical examiners pronounced death due to a heart attack which she had evidently suffered several hours earlier.
Mrs. Pittsenbarger was the widow of the late Edward Pittsenbarger, well known Versailles livestock dealer. She had been an active member of the Versailles Christian church for more than a quarter-century.
Immediate survivors include one son, Earl, of Versailles; one granddaughter; four stepchildren, Charles Pittsenbarger, Detroit, Michigan; Mrs. Ray Hahn, Versailles R. R.; Robert Pittsenbarger, Greenville, and George Pittsenbarger, Beamsville; eight step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Clark, of Muncie, Indiana, and Mrs. Lydia Dershem, of Ithaca.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Versailles Christian church with the Rev. Joseph Wick officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of services.
