Oscar Ullom

Oscar Ullom, 80, of 3900 Koons Road, New Madison, died Saturday at 3:42 p.m. at Wayne Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born June 26, 1910, in Preble County, son of the late J.J. Ullom and Lillie (Arthur). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olive (Irwin) in 1988.

He was a member of the Palestine Church of Christ and was a retired Darke County farmer.

Mr. Ullom is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Franklin (Lois) Nichols, New Madison; a brother, Leonard Ullom, El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palestine Church of Christ with Tim Bright officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Baird Helman Funeral Home, Greenville, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Contributions may be made to Palestine Church of Christ.
