Reeder, Mary - 1841 Will *LINK*

Mary Reeder will

I Mary Reeder of the village of Rising Sun Indiana do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament First It is my will that all my just debts and expences [sic] be paid Secondly I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza B Reeder all that tract and parcel of land which I own in the Northern part of Darke County Ohio being one quarter Section. Thirdly It is my will that all the remainder and residue of my property real and personal of which I may have been in possession at my decease Shall be given to my above named Daughter Eliza B Reeder Fourthly I hereby autherise [sic] and empower my Executer to Sell and convey all or any part of my property real or personal at publick [sic] or private Sale as he Shall Judge best for the Interest of my above named daughter. And lastly I naminate [sic] & appoint Job Haines of Dayton to be the executer of this last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament. In testamony [sic] whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal the 29th day of January In the year of Lord Eighteen hundred and forty one. Mary Reeder {seal}

Signed published and declared by the above named Mary Reeder as and for her last will and Testament in presence of us who at her request have Signed as witnesses to the Same John McKnight Israel Evans.

The State of Indiana Dearborn County Let Be it remembered that on the 12th day of November in the year 1841 personally came before me the undersigned clerk of the probate court of Said County John McKnight and Israel Evans the two subscribing witnesses to the written and forgoing last will and testament of Mary Reeder late of Dearborn County aforesaid deceased who being by me duly Sworn deposeth [sic] and saith that they were present when the said Testator Mary Reeder Signed Said will and that they Subscribed their names hereto as witnesses at the request of the said testator in her presence and in the presence of Each other and that the said Mary Reeder at the time of signing said will was of Sound & disposing mind and memory and understanding and then and there published and declared the same to be her last will and testament and further they say not

Sworn to & Subscribed before me in the clerks office of the Dearborn Probate Court November 12th 1841

I William V Cheek clerk of the Probate Court of the County of Dearborn in the State of Indiana do certify the annexed to be a true copy of the last will and testament of Mary Reeder late of the said county deceased and that Mathias Haines has duly proven the same according to law and has been appointed by the Probate Court administrator with a copy of said will annexed of the said Estate and is hereby duly authorized to take upon himself the administrator of the estate of said Testator according to the said will
