MRS. BECK'S WILL PROBATED
The Personal Property Left to Her Husband, and Her House and Lot in Greenville, and a Piece of Land in Franklin Township in Trust to Her Sister.
The will bears date of March 14, 1911, witnessed by Maude Martin and Edith Husted, naming H. F. Dershem her Executor. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Beck was the second wife of Mr. E. E. Beck. By the terms of her will she surrenders all of her accounts and notes she may have she may have[as printed in clipping] against her husband. She provides for the payment of of her debts, and then bequeaths to her sister, Jennie E. Jennings, in trust, the real estate above mentioned, but she also provides that after the death of her sister the property shall go then to the children of her sister share and share alike.
The privelege of making a will is one of the blessings conferred upon man. It is an encouragement to accumulate property, and favor those who in the judgement of the testator or testatrix are the most deserving. Men, by this privilege, can protect themselves in their old age by favoring those who comfort them in their sickness and distress, and have the power to place in trust property for children who are spendthrifts, and to encourage the industry of those children who are making good use of their dailey income. Men who acquire property always desire that it be kept intact for future development.
