Thomas Carson Will

In the name of God amen. I Thomas Carson of the County of Darke in the State of Ohio being very sick and weak of body but, Thank God of Perfect Sound mind and memory do make this my last will and Testament Touching and concerning Such Worldly Substance where with it hath pleased God to bless me within this life I give and Dispose of the Same in the maner [sic] Following to Wit

Firstly) I Direct order and allow that all my Just and Lawfull Debts and Funeral expenses Shall be paid

Secondly) I give and bequeath unto Thomas Kinnear one hundred dollars and unto Thomas Carson Putman one hundred dollars Which is for my Executor to purchase each one of them Eighty acres of land as Soon as may be convenient after my decease

Thirdly) I give and Bequeath Unto my Beloved Wife Nancy Carson the residue of my Estate Both Real and Personal of whatever kind I may die possessed of for her own proper use and Benifitt [sic] and It is my will and desire that whatever may be left after the death of my Beloved wife Nancy Carson Shall be Equally divided among the Children of her three sisters Elizabeth Putman Sarah Kinnear and Mary Watt

Lastly I nominate and appoint my Beloved wife Nancy Carson Executrix and Ernestus Putman Executor of this my last will and Testament Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament

In Testimony Where of I have here unto Set my hand and Seal this 13th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six
