Michael Crumrine Will
In the name of God Amen
I Michael Crumrine, Farmer, of the County of Darke revoking all others appoint this to be my last will & testament ------
First I order as much of my personal property to be sold as will pay all my just debts to be settled by my wife -----
Second, I give all the balance of my personal property to my wife to be applied to the raising and schooling of my children and likewise my wife is to have and enjoy the farm I now live on and all and singular the profits thereof to be applied to the purpose aforesaid & schooling my children until my youngest child becomes 18 years of age Then I order all my property real and personal to be sold and my wife to take her third and the balance to be equally div[id]ed amongst my children. But if in case my wife should marry at before the youngest child comes of age, then & in that case I order all my personal property both real and personal to be sold and my wife to take her third and the balance be div[id]ed amongst my children equally -----
I appoint John Crumrine & Peter Harter to be executors of this my last will and testament for which trouble they will receive no compensation but what the law allows them until the resurrection of the just

Crane Esq President and his associate Judges of our said Court, Came John Crumrine and Peter Harter being executors mentioned in the within written last will and testament of Michael Crumrine and which said last will and testament being proven by the depositions of John Waggoner & Archibald Bryson the two subscribing witnesses thereto is ordered to be recorded And therein the said John Crumrine & Peter Harter pray administration on the estate of the s[ai]d Michael Crumrine dec[ease]d and to them it is granted By the Court

Darke County} The Court of Common Pleas of the Term of August in the year of our Lord 1825. Personally appeared in open Court John Waggoner and Archibald Bryson who being duly sworn saith that Michael Crumrine has signed the will now produced in their Presence by putting his mark thereto and they respectively signed their manes as witnesses to said will at the request & in the presence of s[ai]d dec[ease]d & in the presence of each other And that the said testator was over the age of twenty one years old And at the time of executing said will was of sound mind & memory as they believe and not under any restraint.

Darke County } To All to whom these presents shall come greetingsWhereas Michael Crumrine late of s[ai]d county dec[ease]d did by his last will and testament make ordain constitute and appoint John Crumrine & Peter Harter executors of the Same and whereas at a court of Common Pleas holden at Greenville in the County aforesaid on the eight day of August one thousand eight hundred and twenty five before the Honorable Joseph H. Crane president and his associate Judges the said last will and testament hath been exhibited and duly proven & the said John Crumrine and Peter Harter the executors therein named as aforesaid having signified their willingness to accept the trust reposed in them by the said Testator
Therefore be it known that by the said court of Common pleas administration of all and singular the estate of the said Michael Crumrine dec[ease]d is hereby committed to the said John Crumrine and Peter Harter executors as aforesaid to be by them administered according to law & agreeable to the tenor of the said last will and testament Provided however that it Shall be the duty of the said executors to have all and singular the goods and chattels of the said Michael Crumrine dec[ease]d not otherwise disposed of by the last will and testament Inventoried and appraised by Archibald Bryson John McNiel & John Waggoner free-holders of the county aforesaid and the same inventory together with an accurate statement of the debts due and owing the said estate to return to the office of the Clerk of said court within three months from the date hereof And further to settle at [the?] s[ai]d estate so far forth as the Provisions of the said last will and testament will admit within twelve months from the date hereof And a time and accurate statement to make and return to the court of Common Pleas as the law directs.
