Laurimore, Hugh - 1841 Will *LINK*

Hugh Laurimore
I Hugh Laurimore of the County of Darke in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say
First) It is my will that my furneal [sic] expenses and all my Just Debts fully paid
Second) I give and devise and bequeath to my beloved Wife Ann Laurimore in Liew [sic] of her Dower the plantation on which we now reside on Situated in Neave Township Darke County containing about one hundred sixty acres of land During her Natural life and all the household furniture and other items not particularly named and otherwise disposed of in the will during he[r] Natural life and the hire[?] Stock horses cattle Sheep hogs &c [etc.] is to remain on Said farm until the executor think fit to dispose of it and the Said executors however first disposing of Suffic[i]ency thereof to pay my just Debts as aforesaid And that at the Death of my Said Wife all of the property hereby devised and bequeathed to her as aforesaid or So much as may remain unexpended to my four daughters Mary Folkerth Sarah Ann Sebring Martha Byrely and Elizabeth Pierce and to their heirs assigns forever I do.
Third) I give and devise first of all to son Gipson Laurimore Six hundred dollars at the Death of my beloved wife
Fourth) I give and devise to Thomas Cary ten dollars to be paid to him when he becomes of age
Fifth) I do will that there will [word 'will' lined out] be money enough made out of the personal property to build a house on the before mentioned farm for Said Widow if she cove[t]s it.
Sixth) I do her[e]by will that Firman and Sarah Ann Sebring Shall have the care of Gipson Laurimore after the death of my beloved wife and
Lastly I her[e]by constitute and appoint my son in law's executors for this my Last will and Testament revoking and annul[l]ing all former will by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last will and Testamony Whereof I have her[e]unto Set my hand and Seal this third day of July A.D. 1841

Jame HallW[h]ereas I Hugh Laurimore of Neave Township Dark[e] County Ohio having made and duly executed my last will and testament in writing bearing date July third A D 1841 No[w] I hereby declare this present writing to be as codial [sic] to my Said will and direct the Same to be annexed thereto and taken as part thereof and I do herby give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth a horse or property worth fifty dollars to make her equal with my other three Daughters I do futher devise and desire that Firman Sebring Shall have the care of Gipson Laurimore Six hundred Dollars which is bequeathed to him in my Said will in witness whereof I the Said Hug[h] Laurimore have to this codicil Set my hand and Seal this third day of July A. D. 1841

Darke County} Before the Court of Common please [sic] within and for Said County personally Came James Hall and Joshua Edwards two of Subscribing witnesses to a paper now produced in open Court purporting to be the last will and testament of Hugh Laurimore deceased who being duly sworn Says that the Say that [sic - repeated] Said testator sign[ed] the Same at his last will and testament and the[y] sign[ed] the Same as witness[es] in the presence of testator and that at the time of executing the Same Said Hugh Laurimore was at full age of Sound mind and memory as they believe and not under any restraint Whatsoever to their knowledge and the cordial [sic- codicil] was Signed at the Same time by the testatorSworn to and Subscribed This 28th day of August 1841 in open Court
