I am researching family members that had lived in Darke County at one time. I am researching Deeter/Dieter and Wertz/Werts members that went from Ohio to Indiana. A Mary Wertz/Deeter married my great, great grandfather John Sumey in Indiana around 1858. I would like to find out all I can on my Deeter and Wertz family members that I can. From Minnesota I know some of the Sumeys and some of the other family members went to Minnesota and from there went west. My great grandfather and his wife and children settled in Puyallup, Washington. I know that some of the other family members also went west and settled throughout the Pacific Northwest.
