Re: Alan Reed & Margaret McGriff

1850 Census, Wayne Twp, Darke Co., OH: Allen-67, Mary-54, Finley-22, Hulda-23, Harriet Jerome-19, Maria Jerome-20. War of 1812 marker on Allen's grave.
Allen Reed came from Cumberland Co., PA, to Bourbon Co., KY, about 1787, [Millers Station near Paris]. From there he seems to have joined his father William in Delaware Co., OH, abt 1808, and served in War of 1812 in the Chillicothe Militia as Lt. of the 1st Co. in the Battalion of the 2nd Brigade. He was promoted to Captain 3-23-1815 and transferred to the 3rd Reg., 2nd Batt., 1st Division 4-3-1815. Allen settled in Green Twp, Clark Co., OH, by 1820, and Beer's HISTORY OF DARKE CO. reports he arrived in Wayne Twp in 1821.
I have no information about Allen's daughter Margaret except that she married James Greer? Is that true??
