WEESE / DeWEESE / WOLFE / FOULK / LAWSON / McKAY

In the sixteenth century, the home of the Weese family was in Nice, France. For valiant service to the Emperor of France, they were granted the prefix De to their name, hence DeWeese.
Owing to their political beliefs and the change of rulers they were driven out of France. They went to Lancastershire, England. In 1724 Aaron DeWeese and his eleven sons came to America. John DeWeese moved his family to Darke Co. in Sept of 1832.
I have been able to trace my family from McKay to DeWeese. I skipped alot in that short summery but if anyone has any info about DEWEESE, WOLFE, FOULK, LAWSON, or MCKAY, I would be willing to exchange info. Thank you
