I never took down my "Temporary" Ahnentafel including Darke County Pioneers (see the Link, below).

There are several Geeting, Guding, Gutting references. In Maryland, the name is Keedy.

I have also visited the town of Siegen in Germany where the family was from. I have not been able to verify that the family was in Silesia [now germany] (sp?) before Siegen. They may have been miners, metalcrafters or both.

As luck would happen the town historian died before our arrival.

I have also seen Guething and other variations in Germany.

Stop at the "Hof den Hensbach" if you go to Siegen.

All corrections welcome. I have not modified the temporary file for sometime, but I am modifying the Legacy File. I will have to do a better job with sources before I publish to Gencircles, Ancestry or other sites.
