I am looking Darke County for info since I found this informaiton: there was an Elizabeth Faler that married a John Wertz on July 27, 1834 in Darke County, Ohio with a Henry D. Williams as justice of the peace and then an Elizabeth Wertz married a John Deeter Feb 25 1840 with John Morris as the justice in Darke County, Ohio. I thought there might be a connection with Mary because I am told by relatives her last name was Wertz and Deiter. Not sure of the spellings of those two last names. I did find some Deters listed with Mary and John Sumey in Indiana in 1870 and I found a marriage record for a John Sumey and Mary Wertz Aug 10, 1858 Wells Co, Indiana. I was hoping to be able to find more info on Mary Wertz or Mary Deter in Ohio. Thanks..Linda
