Re: Isaiah/Nancy Pickett in Parent Cemetery?

The Parent Cemetary is located off 571 near the eastern city limits of Union City. It is easy to miss as you cannot see the cemetary from the road. It is accessible from a long private lane. That lane is the last long lane before you get to Union City. I missed it myself when looking for it. Going east from Union City it is easier to see and if you're watching carefully you can barely see the tombstones. Going toward Union City from Greenville it is on the lefthand side of the road. Many of the tombstones are unreadable. You may find a record of burials at this cemetary at the Garst Museum in Greenville in the genealogy room. Readings of the tombstone inscriptions (if legiable) were recorded. I will check the next time I am at the museum. There is a Joshua Picket listed in the 1840 Darke County census living in Jackson Twp. In the 1850 Census there is an Isaiah Picket and a Mary Picket living in Jackson twp. which is between Hillgrove and Union City.
