Coon and McClain Families of Darke Co, OH

I am looking for information on Samuel Coon b. 1799 PA d. after 1860. Last known was living in Greenville Twp, Darke Co, OH. His wife was said to be Nancy Unknown surname. They had Isaac, Catherine and Mary that I know of. Mary Coon married about 1838-39 to Robert or William McClain. In 1839-40 Mary gave birth to Thomas Benton McClain. In 1842 Mary (Coon) McClain died. Her husband left the community sometime after her death and left his young 18 month old son Thomas with Samuel and Nancy Coon. Later in 1850 Samuel was living with Thomas McClain and his daughter Catherine Coon. In June 1860 Thomas is found living with his Uncle Isaac. Then in July 1860 he is found living with Daniel Sheliberger also of Darke Co. I don't know how the Sheliberger is related to the family.
I am trying to find out what happen to Robert McClain. It is said that he moved to another location in OH and remarried. It is said he had three sons and two daughters. Thomas had no contact with his father's children.
Caroline Coon married John Frampton. Isaac Coon had a son named Isaac W Coon. I think Isaac W Coon married Judith Ann Mullen.
Based on family history either the Coon or the McClain family had Mohawk Indian. I am trying to find the McClain family as well. Based on family history they were descendants of McClean or McClain's who came from Scotland after the Scottish Rebellion. One part of the family stayed in PA and the other moved west landing in OH and IN. We know one child was Robert McClain b. 1818 OH.
There was also a Reiney family living in Darke Co OH around this time. A daughter named Emiline was very good friend with Thomas McClain. Her family ended up in Brimfield IN by 1865 based on Thomas's military records. Emiline introduced Thomas to Polly Ann Denman daughter of Malian Denman and Catherine Tremaine.
