Hello I am doing research on my great great grandfather William Shafer, who's wife's name was Cora Shafer. My grandfather's name was Leander son of Willam and Cora; or have seen on census records as Lander. If anyone knows anything about this family or who William Shafer's father was please contact me. I am trying to get his death record that hopefuly would give me this information. I believe he died in Upper Michigan where he had a daughter Myrtle Shafer. I have a picture of him he was a very tall man. If anyone has any information about the family, please contact me. He had a lot of children on the 1880 census record Essick, Missey, Delly, Lander or Leander, James, Cora E. Myrtle, Raymond listed as beign born in Darke County Ohio.
