William J. and Catherine Dwyer Irwin are buried in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery near Greenville, Darke County, Ohio, as is their daughter, Mary Beatrice Rahn (17 May 1890-1954), her husband, Charles R. Rahn (28 Feb 1889-1939), and their daughter, Mary Bea Rahn (1924-1938) -- I have seen their graves. Catherine's parents are Martin (1819-1897)Dwyer and Mary A. Hartley (1827-1896), who were both born in Ireland (Martin was born in County Limerick). Catherine died 03 Mar 1935.
Her husband, William J. Irwin, is the son of Stephen and Bridget Rooney Irwin, and he was born in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada on 22 Feb 1859; he died in 1924. There is a biography of him on pages 576-577 in "A Biographical History of Darke County, Ohio" by the Lewis Publishing Company, 1900. The M.A. Maher who was William's business partner is the 3rd-great-grandfather of my Maher grandchildren.
On page 681 in the "History of Darke County, Ohio" by the W.H. Beers Company, 1880, there is a biography of Martin Dwyre, Catherine's father. She is referred to as Kate in the biography.
