Thanks for the information. The Joshua Fowble you mention I think was the son of Melchour Fowble of Baltimore County, MD. He died before 1852 in MD.
My interest in the Noggles is because one of my Brown line married into this family. Noah W. Brown, son of Geo. W and Anna Martha Stick of Maryland moved to Darke Co. in 1878. Noah was born Feb. 22, 1855 in Hampstead, Carroll Co., Md. He was in the 1880 Darke Co. census, shown as living with Michael Noggle as a laborer. He married Susan Noggle March of 1883 and had the following children. Bessie, George A.; Charles M., Virgil.
Mary Brown, dau. of Edward Brown of Darke Co., married Andrew Windmiller. Edward's father was John Brown of Darke Co.,who moved to Darke Co., ca. 1817. Edwards mother was Gemima Stocksdale. Edward's Great grandfather was George Brown(e) born 1690 in England. As you can see Joshua Fowble was married to Anna Windmiller, dau. of Mary Brown. The Browns, Fowbles, Richards and Flatter families of Carroll Co., MD were all neighbors who lived on the eastern edge of the county, near the Baltimore Co. line. The intermarried so much before they went west it's a wonder they didn't all have 3 eyes or something. Thanks once again for the Fowble information. It will be helpful.
