Notes for GEORGE NOGGLE, SR.:
THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GEORGE NOGGLE, Sen'r.
Darke County, Ohio Probate Court 25 p. 29-31 The State of Ohio, Darke County:

Be it remembered that on the twenty fourth day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty two, a paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of George Noggle Sen'r late of this county deceased before the court of Probate of said county and Michael Noggle and David Hoover, the subscribing witnesses to said will appeared before said court and on oath testified to the due execution of said will, and their testimony reduced to writing, and by them subscribed is annexed to and filed with said will; and it appearing to the court that said will was duly and legally executed and attested, and that at the time of the execution thereof, the said testator was of full age, of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint. Therefore it is ordered by the Court that said will be admitted to probate, and together with the testimony be recorded, and the same is as follows:

"In the Name of the Benevolent Father of All -- I George Noggle Senr of the County of Darke, State of Ohio, do make and publish this my last will and testament. --

Item 1st: I give and devise to my beloved wife all my personal effects, such as moneys, outstanding claims, and all my personal property to dispose of as she sees proper. - At the death of my wife said personal property, or so much thereof as may remain unconsumed and expended, I give and devise to my sons and daughters, to wit: Mary Shclechty, Susan Schlechty, Katharine Edington, Sarah Ketring, George Noggle, John Noggle, Michael Noggle and David Noggle.--
It is further considered by this my last will and testament that inasmuch as Samuel Noggle and Elizabeth Edington are not entitled to an equal part with the above named heirs, as they have heretofore received their proportion of my estate, I give and devise to each on of them one dollar after my wife's death provided she should outlive me. Provided however, if I should outlive my wife the foregoing shall be considered my last will and testament and the property distributed among the several heirs, as above mentioned.
As my son David left me before he was on age some nine months, there may arise among some of the rest of the heirs a dispute concerning it and to guard against the same, I do hereby release him from any obligation to any person or persons whatever for the same.
I do hereby nominate and appoint Michael Noggle and David Noggle Executors of this my last will and testament. I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of January in the year 1852.

George [his X mark] Noggle
